Phoebus Software recognised in national and regional awards

28 November 2019

In an outstanding week for its business, Solihull based Phoebus Software Limited (PSL) has been recognised for its ongoing work in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), winning a Solihull BID award in the category of ‘Outstanding Corporate and Social Responsibility’. PSL also received high recommendations in the same category at the Financial Services Forum Awards and Mortgage Finance Gazette Awards in London in the same week.

Phoebus Software Limited is a software company serving the banking and lending sectors in the UK and Europe. Its ethos puts its clients, people and the community in which it works at core values of its business. In addition to supporting local fundraising projects, it also contributes to overseas charities, such as in supporting not-for-profit organisation ‘Kiva’. Kiva helps alleviate poverty by providing small loans to improve the working or living environment of people in the developing world. It encourages people to start or develop their own businesses to lift themselves and their families out of poverty.

In addition to the accolades received for CSR, re-affirming PSL’s commitment to its employees’ development, PSL apprentice Alexandra Sheldon also won ‘Outstanding Young Person’ award at the Solihull BID awards. Alex was PSL’s first apprentice under the government apprenticeship scheme, and after winning PSL’s employee of the month award in July, her achievements also impressed the Solihull BID judges who awarded her for her outstanding work.

Phoebus Software Limited’s sales and marketing director Richard Pike, says, “Doing the right things in the right way is at the heart of what Phoebus is about. Therefore it’s a great pleasure to be recognised for the importance we place on community, charity, training and most of all, our people who make Phoebus Software the great company that it is.  We are all particularly proud of Alex for winning the ‘Outstanding Young Person award’. We will continue to maintain focus on being an ethical business that is a great place to work and makes a difference to our community.”
