Training courses and activities are conducted at our dedicated Training Academy at PSL’s head office in Solihull or alternatively we can come to you.

Interactive E-Learning

The suite of e-Learning courses will be accessible through our new Phoebus Learning Management System. The upcoming e-Learning section provides more details regarding the courses and modules which will be available.

Virtual Classroom Training

If you are looking for a live training experience, but you don’t have the option or time to travel, you can experience a virtual classroom from your desk.

Our experienced trainers will deliver the course content via a teleconferencing platform that works for your organisation.

In-house Training

In-house courses are delivered from the dedicated training room at our office in Solihull or if more convenient for you the training can be delivered in your office.

Collaborative Training

Our collaborative training courses are open to anyone that wants to learn more about the Phoebus product. Like private in-house training, the courses are delivered from the dedicated training room at our head office in Solihull. We find that these sessions enable delegates to interact and network with people from other organisations that use the Phoebus product.

An Introduction to Phoebus

This introductory course is designed to teach participants an introduction to your Phoebus system. We will take you through the navigation of the system and demonstrate top tips to enhance your experience.

Phoebus Servicing

This introductory course is designed to teach participants the Phoebus Servicing Module. Each course is customised for your business stream. Participants will learn how to manage loans from completion to redemption.

This includes customer service tasks including rate changes, create and redeem full and partial redemptions and retentions, create deeds record and fees and updating customer records.
Collections, provisions, arrangements, litigation, property sale breakdown and workflow are also covered.

Length of course: 1 day

Phoebus Finance

This introductory course is designed to teach participants the Phoebus Finance Module. Each course is customised for your business stream. Participants will learn how to process payments, create sub account transfers and recall and cancel payments. You will also be introduced to journals purchase ledgers, fixed assets and the bank reconciliation function.

Length of course: 1 day

Phoebus Product Set-Up

This course is designed for participants who will be adding and maintaining products on Phoebus. You will be shown how to interrogate, maintain and create new products and loan plans and maintain related data for interest rates, due diligence records and loan to value tables. You will be introduced to how to interrogate existing loan plans and how to create, edit and delete a new product and loan plan.

Length of course: 2 days

Who should attend: Participants with a basic/intermediate knowledge of Phoebus.

Phoebus Workflows

This course is designed for participants who wish to design and create Workflows within Phoebus. Participants will learn advanced Workflow functions including designing and creating Workflows, manual work queue decision point routing, management reporting and task re-allocation. You will be taught how to test and view your workflows and how to promote functionality from test system to production environments. Day two is spent developing client workflows and working through exercises with the experienced trainer.

Length of course: 2 days

Who should attend: Participants with a basic/intermediate knowledge of Phoebus. Basic SQL skills are advantageous to allow understanding of the logical decisions made by the system.

Phoebus Letters

This course is designed for participants who will be creating their own letters within Phoebus. Participants will learn where the Phoebus letters are stored and how to print and release them. You will be taught how PDF works with XML and XSL. The parts of a Phoebus letter are explained such as database fields and special characters. You will be taught the methods used to debug letters followed by exercises to create your own customer and third-party letters.

Length of course: 2 days

Who should attend: Participants with a basic/intermediate knowledge of Phoebus

Phoebus System Admin

This course is designed for participants who will be administering Phoebus on a day to day basis. Participants will learn advanced user administration functions such as daytime and overnight processing, network sharing, batch and configuration files, printing, web interface and user permissions.

Train the Trainer

This customised course has been designed for participants who are trainers or will act as trainers within your business. This course will firstly teach participants the Phoebus Servicing and Finance modules and secondly provide training material and guidance on how to provide further training on using the Phoebus application.

Length of course: 1 day

Who should attend: Participants that are Trainers. No previous knowledge of Phoebus is required

Supporting documents: After course support is provided and mentoring sessions can be arranged
