Mission:

The Senior Implementation Project Manager ensures that our client product implementations achieve the outline goals as set out below:

  • Own the Implementation Project for PSL
  • Ensure client implementations are delivered on time, within budget and to the clients’ expectations
  • Ensure PSL deliver a quality service at all times
  • Ensure PSL implementations are managed and controlled to support PSL’s financial and operational objectives
  • Ensure work is seamlessly managed and coordinated between internal PSL teams

Responsibilities:

The Senior Implementation Project Manager has overall responsibility for the success and profitability of PSL’s new client implementations.

Relationship Management:

  • Coordinate with key PSL stakeholders and Client stakeholders to define project scope and requirements
  • Collaborate with and manage third party suppliers
  • Record and maintain comprehensive project progress documentation
  • Lead frequent check-ins and meetings with internal stakeholders and client stakeholders
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with the Project Sponsor as a point of escalation
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships to enable PSL implementations to succeed and become a trusted and valued member of the team
  • Ensure that your implementation delivery supports PSL’s Net Promoter Score targets

Project Financials:

  • Proactively manage the project budget
  • Track actuals against forecasts and ensure we deliver against forecasts
  • Work closely with Finance to manage client invoicing
  • Manage project spend against budgets obtaining approvals where required
  • Ensure PSL delivery supports PSL’s financial targets

Delivery of Implementations:

  • Support the project team to enable them to deliver client implementations
  • Ensure work is planned and delivered to support commitments made to both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage dependencies between the client, third party providers and PSL
  • Monitor and control delivery activities
  • Identify issues early and ensure effective and timely corrective action is taken
  • Take ownership for resolving issues and escalations
  • Create, manage and own the project execution plan (PPM, MS Project)
  • Ensure that the backlog is maintained in JIRA
  • Work with and coordinate project deliverables between the PSL development teams
  • Ensure timeliness of project delivery
  • Ensure all deliverables meet the project scope, quality and budget
  • Track project performance, specifically in accordance with short and long term goals of the implementation

Governance:

Ensure Governance principles are followed, including:

  • Ensure weekly project status reporting is completed weekly and gives a true representation of the project.
  • Prepare for internal and client steering meetings
  • Ensure all work has formal approval to proceed and formal acceptance when completed
  • Ensure all changes follow the PSL change management process
  • Financial management
  • Risk and issue management
  • Maintain RAID logs
  • Manage change through the SDLC
  • Review and report on Burn Up, Burn Down charts and Velocity

Project Management Practice:

  • Contribute to the Project Management practices by contributing to improvements in processes, methods and tools
  • Lead knowledge creation, sharing and coaching
  • Ensure processes are followed and auditable

Skills and Competencies:

Required: 

  • 10+ years’ experience of a similar role ideally within the software development and implementation sector
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience of large-scale implementations
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience of large-scale data migrations
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an Agile environment
  • Ability to travel to client sites when required
